Maya Soto Jones

Trainee psychotherapist, trainee member of UKCP

How often do you have a space that is just for you? Welcome, you have already made the first step of recognising you need this space and time. My name is Maya (she/they) and together we can go on a journey where you can discover what has been holding you back, work through painful memories and understand yourself better. You are the expert in your own life, and I am here to be by your side and guide you every step of the way. I’m an Integrative therapist because I don’t think one size fits all. Maybe because of my journey trying to navigate labels that feel limiting, I am passionate about offering a space that is free from limiting expectations. As we get to know each other I will bring different tools and together we can figure out what works for you. I am a psychotherapist in training currently completing the latter stages of an Integrative Psychotherapy MSc at Metanoia Institute. I have been working in mental health for 8 years and have experience working with a range of mental health difficulties, trauma, gender and sexuality, amongst other areas. As a queer and non-binary person, I have some personal experience of what it feels like to exist in a world that makes you feel different. However, as a White, neurotypical and non-disabled therapist, it is my responsibility to recognise the power I hold in the world and in the therapy room. I am committed to the anti-oppressive practice and continuously work on becoming more aware of my privilege and bias by attending several reflection groups and regular training. I offer a free 15-minute consultation where I will share a bit more about myself and you can tell me about what brought you here and then you can decide if you want to take the next step.

Appointments currently available: free 15-minute assessments; sessions on weekdays early mornings, daytime, and evenings

Fees: £40-60 per session
